Our Voyage
At Coastline Brewing Co. we love trying great beer, so we decided to create some of our own. We have offerings for all tastes whether you love hoppy IPAs, rich stouts, or refreshing sours. We are devoted to crafting our brews with innovative, locally sourced ingredients.
After visits to multiple craft breweries in New England and beyond stirred their interest in the process, Rich and Phil became homebrew hobbyists. Inspired by their love of the fun, family-friendly, relaxed vibe at independent local craft breweries, Rich, Phil, and Jay decided to take the plunge and open a brewery of their own. Avid boater Rich spotted the perfect opportunity just up the road from the beach in Westbrook and Coastline Brewing Co. was launched.

Rich Lemieux
Partner
Rich owns Nova Developers and is a builder/developer. This has been extremely beneficial during the build process as he has built several restaurants, bars, pubs and commercial buildings and spaces such as CVS and Northeast Produce. He enjoys playing music…
(lead guitarist in a band called The Remedy with Phil). Rich and Phil became intrigued with the phenomenal local craft beers and decided to try our their hand at it. It quickly grew on them and became a serious hobby. And damnit, they’re good at it! When Rich is not working, he is an avid boater, also a (maybe temporary) retired skydiver having jumped out of hot air balloons, helicopters and several different type of aircraft . He even still has his gear! Rich is a family man who loves spending time with his family enjoying football (especially the Patriots). Lastly, he loves cruising the northwest hills with the top down in his toy hitting the wineries with Anne, his wife. Rich has been a local for years as he has a place near Westbrook. They enjoy spending time at their home by the beach with their many friends and neighbors.

Phil is a lifelong Bristol resident who just retired from the New Britain Police Department and also owns P Violette Construction. He brings a great skillset as Phil also helped with the build out of the brewery. He began making beer about 4-5 years ago with Rich. Their first batch…
Jay Magisano
Partner/Head Brewer
Head Brewer Jay Magisano is a lifelong Plainville resident who began homebrewing as a hobby over a decade ago. Over time and after visiting and sampling from a variety of breweries, his love for beer grew and he began brewing more frequently with friends…
and neighbors. In 2018, he began working at a local brewery first as a Cellarman and soon thereafter as Assistant Brewer. He knew he had found his passion. When Jay isn’t brewing, sampling, or talking about fine beer, he enjoys golfing, watching NASCAR and football, woodworking, and spending time at the beach with his family. He and his wife Laura have a spunky daughter, Riley Jain, who keeps them both on their toes. Cheers!
The Original Two Dads
Rich and Phil met while camping at Lake George and became fast friends. Over the course of their friendship, they became intrigued with the phenomenal local craft beers and decided to try their hand at it. It quickly grew on them and became a serious hobby. Leading to the formation of Two Dads Brewing in 2019. Both accomplished musicians, Rich and Phil formed The Remedy over a decade ago and perform frequently at benefit events, with Rich on lead guitar and Phil on lead vocals and keyboard.
